The Community Interpreter International® is designed for bilingual individuals who are new to interpreting or who want to strengthen their professional foundation.

After completing the 40-hour program, participants may pursue interpreting opportunities in settings such as:

Participants who successfully complete the program receive a Certificate of Completion documenting 40 hours of professional interpreter training.

Certificate of Completion vs. Professional Certification
A Certificate of Completion confirms that you successfully completed the 40-hour training program.
Professional certification is a separate credential awarded by an independent certifying organization after meeting additional eligibility requirements and successfully completing a certification exam.
Completing The Community Interpreter International® does not make a participant a nationally certified interpreter. However, this 40-hour training may help satisfy training requirements for certain professional certification pathways.

Depending on your goals, you may continue into specialized interpreting in healthcare, education, human services, or other community settings.
Completion of this program does not guarantee employment, licensure, or professional certification. Additional language proficiency testing, experience, examinations, or credentials may be required depending on the employer or interpreting setting.
